However, it was when the new 2018 Captain Tsubasa series came to life did we get the awesome, intense action through the lens of modernity whilse still respecting the source material. The Tsubasa ozora vs. Hyuga Kojiro duel on the football pitch is still a sight of epic beauty.
11-year-old Tsubasa Oozora started playing football at a very young age, and while he was the best in his small town, when he moved to the city with his mother, he found himself seemingly a small fish in a bigger pond. Tsubasa nevertheless holds steadfast to his dream – to ultimately represent Japan in the FIFA World Cup. The journey however will be arduous with many an opponent and enemies, but luckily he has many encouraging friends in his corner too. And will take all the talent and dedication he can mustre to carve a path to the top.
