JSA takes flight
Dwayne The Rock Johnson made a big splash at the DC Fandome event with the Black Adam teaser alongside an introduction to the characters set to join his titular character in the Black Adam movie. Now the future of the Justice Society of America is gaining a bit of tangibility as news of casting places actor Aldis Hodge has been eyed to take flight in Black Adam as none other than Hawkman.
The actor currently is in talks to play the role of Hawkman, and if things pan out, he will be starring alongside Dwayne Johnson in the Jaume Collet-Serra-directed film.
The character Hodge is set to play is Hawkman aka Carter Hall, a winged warrior said to be a reincarnation of an ancient Egyptian prince. Later iterations of Hawkman’s origins places him as Katar Hol, a member of an alien race of winged soldiers native to the planet Thanagar.
More as things develop.
