The sidekicks of superheroes are usually the butt of many a disrespectful joke, surely. So when you think of a team comprised essential of sidekicks and “second-rate” versions of established heroes, on paper it would look like a dud. Not unless you are talking about the Teen Titans. Also known as Titans. The initial team was founded by Kid Flash (Wally West), Robin (Dick Grayson), and Aqualad (Garth), with Wonder Girl joining later on.

But, of course, the more celebrated version of the Teen Titans introduced usto the initial team as Robin, Cyborg, Starfire and Raven, as well as the former Doom Patrol member Beast Boy.
